Terms of Use

PractiseNow is owned and operated by Comingwave (comingwave.com.au), Sydney, NSW, Australia. Please read these terms carefully: they explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1.Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (“terms”) apply to your use of the PractiseNow website and service at practisenow.com. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Comingwave trading as PractiseNow. “You” means the person using PractiseNow.

By creating an account or using PractiseNow, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Who runs PractiseNow and who sells it

PractiseNow is owned and operated by Comingwave (comingwave.com.au), Sydney, NSW, Australia. Comingwave provides the service and the practice content.

Payments for passes and credit top-ups are sold and processed by Red Migration FZC (United Arab Emirates) through Stripe. Red Migration FZC is the seller of record for every PractiseNow payment, and your card statement shows the Red Migration FZC account name with “PRACTISENOW”.

Who can use PractiseNow

You must be 16 or over to use PractiseNow. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

2.Accounts and security

You can create an account with an email address and password, or sign in with Google.

  • An account is for one person only. You must not share your login with anyone else or let anyone else use your account, pass or credits.
  • Give us accurate details and keep your email address up to date, because we use it for receipts and important account messages.
  • Keep your password secret and use a password you do not use anywhere else.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us straight away at support@practisenow.com.

3.What PractiseNow is

PractiseNow is an online practice service for IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training, PTE Academic, PTE Core and OET. It offers practice tasks at three levels (Starter, Builder and Exam), automatic marking of listening and reading answers, and AI feedback on writing and speaking.

PractiseNow is for practice only. It is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by IELTS (British Council, IDP or Cambridge), Pearson PTE or OET. IELTS, PTE and OET are trademarks of their respective owners.

Scores and bands shown on PractiseNow are estimates to help you practise. They are not official results. We do not guarantee any test result, visa outcome, registration outcome or admission outcome.

4.Plans, passes and credits

Free plan

The free plan gives you the first three Starter sets and one Builder set of every task type in your test, plus 3 AI credits.

Passes

  • Sprint Pass: 30 days, US$19, with 60 AI credits.
  • Exam Pass: 60 days, US$29, with 150 AI credits.
  • Complete Pass: 90 days, US$39, with 250 AI credits.

Each pass gives you unlimited listening and reading practice for one test for the length of the pass. A pass is a one-off payment for a fixed period: it is not a subscription and never renews, so you are never charged again when it ends. The period starts when your payment is confirmed. If you buy another pass for the same test while one is active, the new days are added to the end of the current pass. Credits included in a pass expire when the pass expires.

Top-ups

  • 50 AI credits for US$5.
  • 150 AI credits for US$12.

Top-ups are one-off payments. Top-up credits follow the same expiry as your pass: they expire when your current pass ends. If you buy a top-up when you have no active pass, its credits last 12 months from the date you buy them.

How credits work

  • Listening and reading tasks are marked by our code and do not use credits.
  • AI marking of writing and speaking uses credits. Different tasks use different numbers of credits.
  • If AI marking fails, the credits for that attempt are refunded to your balance automatically.
  • When you use credits, the credits that expire soonest are used first.
  • Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account, except as described in our Refund Policy.

Switching test

You can switch your pass to a different test once, free of charge, within 7 days of buying the pass. To switch, email support@practisenow.com.

Prices

Prices are in US dollars (USD) and you are charged in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank may convert the amount and charge a conversion fee. We may change prices for future purchases; a price change does not affect a pass or top-up you have already bought.

5.Payments and refunds

Payments are sold and processed by Red Migration FZC (United Arab Emirates) through Stripe, on Stripe’s secure payment page. Your card statement shows the Red Migration FZC account name with “PRACTISENOW”. Card details are handled by Stripe; PractiseNow never sees or stores your full card number. Every payment is a one-off payment: there are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.

Your pass or credits are added to your account as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a few seconds. A receipt is kept under Account → Purchases.

You can get a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have used 10 or fewer of the credits from that purchase. Unused top-up credits are refundable within 7 days of purchase. When a purchase is refunded, its unused credits are removed from your account and a refunded pass ends. Full details, including how to ask for a refund, are in our Refund Policy.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies for a major failure.

6.Agents and institutes

Migration agents, schools, institutes and other organisations can buy seat packs. An organisation buys seats in bulk, assigns them to its learners and can see the progress of the learners who use those seats.

  • Seats may only be used by the organisation’s own learners, one learner per seat.
  • Organisations must not resell or give away seats or access outside the agreed seat model.
  • An organisation must tell its learners that it can see their progress on PractiseNow.
  • Learners who use a seat must also follow these terms.

Seat pack prices depend on the number of seats bought at once and the seat type, as published on PractiseNow for agents and institutes. See that page or email support@practisenow.com.

7.Acceptable use

When you use PractiseNow, you must not:

  • copy, download, record, scrape, publish, share or resell our questions, passages, audio, model answers or other content, except for your own personal practice;
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access the service or collect content;
  • use PractiseNow to create or run cheating tools, or use any content from PractiseNow to cheat in a real test;
  • abuse AI marking, for example by submitting content that is not your own practice answer, trying to make the AI produce something other than feedback, or trying to get marking without using credits;
  • upload or submit content that is unlawful, offensive, threatening, defamatory or infringes anyone else’s rights;
  • try to break, overload, probe or get around the security of the service, or access accounts or data that are not yours;
  • share your account or use someone else’s account.

8.Intellectual property

All content on PractiseNow, including questions, passages, model answers, audio recordings, images, designs, the PractiseNow name and logo, and the software, belongs to Comingwave (PractiseNow) or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own practice while your account is open. You may not use it for any other purpose.

You keep ownership of your own answers, written responses and speaking recordings. You give us a licence to store, copy and process them (including sending them for AI marking) so that we can provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9.AI feedback

Feedback on writing and speaking is produced automatically by AI. It can contain mistakes, and scores and bands are estimates only. AI feedback is a study aid. It is not professional, educational, migration, medical or legal advice, and you should not rely on it alone when making important decisions.

10.Availability and changes

We work to keep PractiseNow available and working well, but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may need to pause the service for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control.

We may change, add or remove features and content over time, for example to improve tasks or keep up with changes to the tests.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you by email or in the app. If you keep using PractiseNow after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

11.Suspension and termination

You can stop using PractiseNow at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@practisenow.com.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, or if the law requires us to. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

12.Liability

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those consumer guarantees or any other right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent allowed by law:

  • where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can lawfully be limited, it is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again, or refunding what you paid;
  • we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by your test results, visa, registration or admission outcomes, because PractiseNow is a practice service and does not guarantee any outcome;
  • we are not liable for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.

13.Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

14.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts that can hear appeals from them.

15.Contact

If you have a question about these terms, email us at support@practisenow.com. We are based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. You can also visit our contact page.
